How new is IOmIRC 3.x?

IOmIRC 3.0 was a completely new version. All of the underlying code was created from scratch.

So there is nothing from the old versions?

The graphics for the toolbar and status bar had been part of IO mIRC since the original version. These were added into version 3.2.

How do I register a nick?

The simple way to do this is to type /regnick {password} where {password} is the password you want to use for the nick.

What is a nick group?

A nick group is a collection of nicks that share the same access rights etc. Basically this means your nicks are identical and any of them can be used in an identical way to any other. Type the command /group to add your current nick to your group. This is not allowed if the nick you are trying to add is already registered..

How do I register a channel?

You can register a channel using the channel popup menu in the channel control section. You can also use the command /regchan {password} {description}.

What is auto script load?

Auto script load is a simple way to install your scripts. When you download an addon script, it is installed in the correct place. Auto script load looks for new scripts when it connects and then loads them.

When will there be some addons?

Addons are being developed and will be released soon. If you have any special requests, let us know.
